More Splash Mountain signage has been removed from the queue as demolition continues to transform the attraction into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom.

The first place we spotted Splash Mountain signage removed was from the stand-by entrance signpost.

A sign reading “Splash Mountain” was formerly mounted above the purple sign and below the small birdhouse. You can see the discoloration of the wood from where the sign used to be.

The photo below shows the sign in place a few days ago.

The decal with the Splash Mountain logo remains in place on the Lightning Lane sign at this time.

The other sign removed was mounted over the door here. It was a large wooden sign featuring Br’er Rabbit.

The sign was in place earlier this week, as seen in the picture below.

The original hole cut into the rockwork has been expanded again, with much of the rockwork by the track removed.

The faux rock mountainside has been cut away and the wire mesh framing is exposed.

Splash Mountain was due for mechanical refurbishment, and this area was likely demolished to give access to a specific part of the system.

Electrical work is being done on the Lightning Lane panel. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is expected to have Lightning Lane, so this is likely just regular updating or maintenance rather than removal.

Previously, the birdhouses were removed from the queue. Splash Mountain references have also been removed from the Walt Disney World Railroad and the Liberty Square Riverboat.

The Laughing Place sign has been removed from the nearby play area, which otherwise remains open at this time. The pressed penny machine featuring Splash Mountain designs was removed initially but has since been relocated.

Splash Mountain closed permanently last month at Walt Disney World and will close at Disneyland later this year. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to replace the attraction in 2024. Read our complete history of Splash Mountain for a look back at the classic log flume ride.

Disney says that in the upcoming attraction, guests will “join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis during Mardi Gras season as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration for the people of New Orleans.”

The attraction takes place after the events of “The Princess and the Frog.” Tiana’s Foods is an employee-owned community food co-op established by Tiana in 1927, following the success of her restaurant, Tiana’s Palace. The co-op is housed inside a salt mine, with growers planting crops along the old Splash Mountain waterway. Guests will ascend through a mill house built into the side of the mountain.
